Common Questions
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Privacy Dashboard → Delete Account. Your account is deleted straight away. Some team records other members rely on stay with the team without your name, and messages you sent are deleted automatically 60 days after they were sent — our account deletion page shows exactly what is deleted and what is kept.
I didn't receive my verification code
SMS code: Check that your phone number is correct and has no spaces or extra digits. Wait 60 seconds and tap Resend code. If it still doesn't arrive, email us with your phone number and we'll look into it.
Email code: Check your spam or junk folder — verification emails can land there. The code expires after 60 seconds; tap Resend code to get a fresh one.
I can't see my team after logging in
Ask your coach to check that your phone number matches exactly what's on the team roster. If you're a coach, try pulling down to refresh the Schedule tab.
Push notifications aren't working
Go to your device Settings → TIRA → Notifications and make sure notifications are enabled. Then open the app and check Profile to confirm your device is registered.
Why does my Schedule only show 5 events?
To keep it easy to read, the Schedule shows your next 5 events (the big Next up card counts as one). Tap Show more at the bottom of the list to see the rest. Show past events lists your 5 most recent past events.
Where is our season record, and how do I set the season?
The Season Card at the top of the Team tab shows your wins, draws and losses and your last 5 results. Coaches, managers and admins set the season's first and last month under Profile → Team settings (managers see this as Season dates). With no dates set, every game counts. Results appear once a coach opens a game and taps Record result — they can do this for up to 14 days after the game.
Who can be MVP (player of the match)?
When recording a result, a coach can pick an MVP from the team's players and registered children. They get a ★ next to their name on the roster for the season. Children are always shown by first name only, and a child whose parent has hidden them from the roster can't be picked.
Who is included in the Going / Maybe / Can't count?
Players and registered children are always counted. Coaches, managers and admins are counted only on a team with no registered children — an adult team, where they usually play too. On a kids' team they're usually parent volunteers, so their own answers stay out of the count and a parent who is also the manager isn't counted on top of their child. Parents are never counted; their child's answer is what counts. Everyone's answers still show in the event's attendance list.
What reminders does TIRA send before an event?
3 days, 1 day and 2 hours before: an "Are you coming?" reminder, only to players who haven't answered and to parents of children who haven't answered. 1 hour before: a "starting soon" reminder to everyone who hasn't said Can't — coaches, managers and admins get it only if they said Going or Maybe. If an event is moved, the reminders still to come are sent for the new time.
I'm a parent and the team's manager — why didn't my answer count for my child?
As a coach, manager or admin, the Going / Maybe / Can't buttons on your own event card record your attendance. To answer for your child, open the event and tap your child's name under Players attendance.
My partner accepted the invite but can't see our team
The invite code links your partner to your child, but the team code is what adds the team to their app. Ask them to go to Profile, tap Join a team, enter the team code (it's on your Team tab) and choose Parent / Guardian. When asked "Is your child on this team?", they tap Skip for now. Please don't register your child again, as that makes a second copy.
How do I reply to one message in the team chat?
Tap and hold the message, then tap Reply. Your reply shows a short quote of the original, and the person you replied to gets a notification. Tap a quote to jump back to the original message. Polls can't be replied to.
